¨The greatest crime in history is not violence, itś silence.¨
I agree with this quote. I think itś true because if you don't stand up for what´s right, you allow the awful to happen and continue. The irony is that the Star of David is golden, and silence is what killed 6 million Jews during the Holocaust. They say golden means good, since gold is associated with good fortune, and prosperity. However silence certainly shouldn't be associated with such things. I think silence can be worse than a crime because when many people are knowing of a crime, and know it´s wrong, but choose not to stand up it only worsens the situation. Sometimes people stand around and wait for someone else to stick up against something that is morally wrong, but we all are assuming someone will do it for us and then no one does. Often, one person cannot make a huge change all alone, but when someone takes a stand, others see that he/she is doing the right thing and want to follow them for the better good. Fear can drive people not to stand up too though, but the ones suffering must be more frightened.
